Rays rightfielder Steven Souza Jr. came up with an early catch-of-the-year nominee on Wednesday, robbing Orioles slugger Chris Davis of extra bases and making an incredible highlight play on defense.

Davis took Matt Moore deep to the right-centerfield gap, where Souza backtracked and laid out at the warning track. He went full-extension to make the grab, sliding belly-first in the dirt and halting what could have been a Baltimore rally, with the game scoreless.
