Artist renderings of the new Rangers stadium were revealed Friday, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s Mac Engel.
The new stadium plans were announced by the team and the City of Arlington on Friday.
According to Engel’s report, the stadium is expected to open in 2021 and will have a retractable roof. The Star-Telegram reported it will cost the city and the team more than $900 million.
The Rangers currently play in Globe Life Park, where they have a lease through the 2023 season. Texas has called Globe Life home since the stadium opened in 1994. It is currently the seventh largest MLB ballpark in terms of capacity.
