The Colorado Rockies have designated shortstop Jose Reyes for assignment, the team announced Wednesday.
The Rockies reinstated Reyes from the restricted list before the move. He was placed on the list after being suspended under MLB’s domestic violence policy.
Colorado will now have to trade, release or waive Reyes within the next ten days.
Reyes was charged with domestic violence following an altercation with his wife last October. According to prosecutors, Reyes’s wife did not cooperate and charges against him were eventually dropped.

Reyes completed his 51-game suspension on May 31.
