Alex Rodriguez will start for Yankees on Thursday at Fenway

Alex Rodriguez will play one more game before his final MLB appearance on Friday in New York.
Manager Joe Girardi told reporters Tuesday that Rodriguez will be the DH on Thursday at Fenway Park. Rodriguez will not start on Tuesday or Wednesday in the first two games of the three-game series, Girardi said.
Rodriguez said he was “disappointed” to hear he wouldn’t also be starting on Wednesday.
A-Rod clearly ticked off that he's only playing Thursday. Said he came here expecting to play all 3 after hearing what Girardi said Sunday.

Rodriguez announced Sunday that he will be retiring after Friday’s game against the Rays at Yankee Stadium to take a role as a special advisor and instructor with the Yankees.
He has not played since making a pinch-hitting appearance against the Mets on Aug. 2. His last game in the starting lineup was July 30.
