Yankees rookie catcher Gary Sanchez is now the fastest player ever to hit 11 home runs, continuing his torrid streak with a bomb on Saturday.
Sanchez left the yard at Yankee Stadium in the bottom of the fourth against Orioles pitcher Dylan Bundy for his 11th home run in his 23 games, which according to Elias Sports is the fastest mark through that point in Major League history.

The 23-year-old catcher from the Dominican Republic is now batting .405 with 21 RBIs and a 1.383 OPS, even garnering some intentional walks this week. He has hit five home runs in his last five games and is batting third in the Yankees’ lineup.
New York entered the day at 66–61, chasing the Blue Jays, Red Sox and Orioles in the AL East.
