After the Red Sox fell on Monday, 4–3, and were swept in the ALDS at the hands of the Indians, Ortiz walked around the field and lifted his cap toward the fans.
The slugger drove in one of Boston’s three runs on a sacrifice fly earlier in the game. He finished his final postseason series 1 for 9 with a double, two walks and an RBI.
