New York Mets minor league outfielder Tim Tebow delivered a game-winning hit in the team's Arizona Fall League game against the Mesa Solar Sox on Monday.

Tebow, playing for the Scottsdale Scorpions, hit a two-out, bases-loaded single in the ninth inning to lift the Scorpions to a 4–3 win.

“It feels good. It feels good for your teammates, the work that you put in,” Tebow said, according to the New York Post. “Any time you’re in a game and you’re keeping score, you want to feel competitive. You want to win. And so I think this was a fun moment for all of us.”

Tebow now has six hits (five singles, one double) in 12 minor league games. He is hitting .146 and has a .376 OPS.

Tebow, who won two national championships as a quarterback at Florida and won a playoff game while playing for the Denver Broncos, said that his experience in pressure situations helped him in his final at-bat Monday.

"You just have to handle whatever it is,’’ he said. “If it’s getting up and speaking in front of 20,000, if it’s playing football in front of 100,000. You know, bases loaded, two outs in the bottom of the ninth, your body just knows it’s stress and pressure, and how are you going to handle that mentally?"
