The Orioles have been taking the naming rights to Camden Yards to market this year, according to a report from Terry Lefton of Sports Business Journal.

The nameplate for Camden Yards will reportedly apply to the field only, not Camden Yards in its entirety. Lefton notes in the report that this has been done frequently in the NFL, with Empower Field at Mile High in Denver and GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City being the two notable examples.

The franchise is seeking a deal in the neighborhood of $6–8 million annually for the naming rights to the field, with a contract length of around 10 years.

Camden Yards has served as the home to the Orioles since 1992 when it was constructed to replace Memorial Stadium. It holds close to 45,000 fans.

There is no indication that the franchise is close to any sort of agreement on the naming rights of the stadium.
