The field for the 2023 MLB Home Run Derby is finally set, and fans should be in for a treat with a star-studded group of sluggers slated to step to the plate Monday night in Seattle.

Two-time champion Pete Alonso headlines the group of participants that will compete for the title, alongside two other returning competitors: Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Mariners hometown hopeful Julio Rodríguez. The trio will be joined by newcomers such as Dodgers star Mookie Betts, Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena, Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman and White Sox outfielder Luis Robert Jr.

Rangers outfielder Adolis García was announced as the eighth and final member of the field Wednesday evening.

Robert Jr. earned the top overall seed, having tied for the most home runs (25) in the field with Alonso through July 4. He won the tiebreaker over the New York first baseman by having more homers through June 15. The Chicago slugger will square off against Rutschman, the No. 8 seed, in the first round.

The other matchups for the event are as follows:

  • (2) Pete Alonso vs. (7) Julio Rodríguez
  • (3) Mookie Betts vs. (6) Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
  • (4) Adolis García vs. (5) Randy Arozarena

The Home Run Derby will get underway from T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
