The Cubs are one of four teams battling it out for the final wild-card spots in the National League playoff race and if they don’t make it to the postseason they’ll forever remember Tuesday night’s loss to the Braves, because it was a doozy.

The Cubs took a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning and then ended up losing, 7-6. Making things even more heartbreaking—they gave up the winning run in heartbreaking fashion in the bottom of the eighth when right fielder Seiya Suzuki made an error that you just don’t normally see a professional baseball player make.

Brutal.

The Cubs are currently holding on to the final wild-card spot but the Marlins are a half game back and the Reds are 1.5 games back. Every game matters right now, and that loss to the Braves could end up being a very costly one.
