MLB Fans Had Jokes After Phillies Eliminated Braves for Second Year in a Row

The Philadelphia Phillies have eliminated the Atlanta Braves two years running, prompting a slew of jokes on social media.

For the second consecutive year, the Phillies stunned the Braves in the postseason, sending their National League East rivals home in the NL Division Series.

Despite Atlanta’s prolific regular season, during which the Braves won an MLB-best 104 games, their offense went ice cold in the four-game series against Philadelphia, mustering just eight total runs.

The Braves had lofty expectations heading into the postseason, similarly to last year, yet once again it was the Phillies who knocked them out of World Series contention.

Philadelphia will now take on the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. But in the meantime, fans on social media were soaking in the victory, cracking jokes at the expense of the Braves.
