Rangers’ Adolis Garcia Celebrated Go-Ahead Home Run vs. Astros With an Epic Bat Spike
Rangers All-Star Adolis García may have given MLB fans the most electric home run celebration of the postseason on Friday after mashing a clutch moonshot in Game 5 of the ALCS.
With Texas trailing 2–1, García blasted the first pitch of the at-bat from Astros ace Justin Verlander into the stands for a massive three-run go-ahead homer.
García’s bomb sent Rangers fans into a frenzy as the team took a 4–2 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, but it was the two-time All-Star’s epic bat spike before rounding the bases that made the sensational moment even more special.
As the ALCS comes down to the wire, the momentum built by García’s home run could be enough to propel Texas to a crucial Game 5 victory.
Friday’s big-time play marked García’s second homer versus Houston; he has now logged five hits and six RBI in 18 at-bats.
