With a resounding 11–4 win in Game 7 of the ALCS, the Rangers stunned the sports world on Monday night by cruising past the Astros to advance to the 2023 World Series.

The lopsided affair saw Texas, in front of a hostile crowd in Houston, jump out to a quick lead behind a 440-foot homer from shortstop Corey Seager. The Rangers would go on to build an 8–2 lead after four innings behind four RBI from All-Star slugger and eventual ALCS MVP Adolis Garcia.

Entering the night on a postseason tear, Garcia logged three runs with singles in the first and fourth, and a home run in the third. He would go on to crush another ball 340 feet into the stands to give Texas a 11–3 lead in the eighth and set the MLB playoff RBI record with 15 in a single series.

In the aftermath of the Rangers’ huge win, many fans and famous faces around the sports world weighed in on the club clinching its first AL pennant since 2011.
