For the first time in the franchise’s 63 years, the Rangers are World Series champions.

The Rangers won 5–0 over the Diamondbacks in Game 5 of the 2023 World Series on Wednesday night to claim their place in history.

Even though the game took place in Arizona at Chase Field, the Rangers fans showed up. The crowd was electric as Texas pitcher Josh Sborz threw the last strike to Arizona second baseman Ketel Marte at the bottom of the ninth inning.

While the players and fans at Chase Field showed off their emotions, Rangers fans and the sports world in general extended those feelings of joy onto social media.

Fellow athletes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, such as Mavericks star Luka Dončić, shared in the excitement of the Rangers winning their first title, while other sports stars, like Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, extended their congratulations, whether they were fans of the franchise or not.

Check out some of the best reactions to a historic night in Texas.
