Rich Paul’s Klutch Sports Expands to MLB Representation
Klutch Sports Group, the sports agency founded by Rich Paul, is expanding its client base of prominent athletes into the baseball world.
The management group announced Wednesday it has acquired the Rep 1 Baseball agency, which represents MLB players including Red Sox slugger Rafael Devers, Mets outfielder Starling Marte, Brewers pitcher Devin Williams and Guardians infielder Andres Gimenez.
That developing baseball client base now joins Klutch’s roster of athletes in the NBA and NFL. But more MLB players–especially younger talent–may show interest in signing with the agency that represents sports superstars such as LeBron James.
Earlier this year, Klutch expanded its representation to NFL talent by acquiring ELITE Athlete Management. That added 40 players to the agency’s roster, including Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Titans wideout DeAndre Hopkins. They join Eagles stars Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith, who were already Klutch clients.
Paul founded the agency beginning with James as Klutch’s primary client and now represents a powerhouse roster of basketball talent. In addition to James, NBA players with Klutch include Anthony Davis, Zach LaVine, Fred VanVleet and Draymond Green.
Along with Rep1’s talent roster, Klutch is also adding the agency’s CEO, Chris Koras. He will lead its new baseball division.
