Atlanta Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr. reportedly is dealing with a minor knee issue in spring training.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Justin Toscano reported Saturday that an MRI revealed Acuña is suffering irritation in the meniscus of his right knee. The 26-year-old plans to see a doctor in Los Angeles.

Atlanta reportedly still expects Acuña to be ready to play when its season begins March 28 in an Opening Day clash against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Shortly after the news was reported, Acuña chimed in on social media with a reassuring message to fans.

“I’ll be back,” he wrote.

Acuña, entering his seventh MLB season, is coming off his first MVP campaign in 2023. In 159 games last year, Acuña batted .337/.416/.596 with 41 home runs and 71 stolen bases.

Acuña and the Braves are looking to notch their third straight 100-win season, although they haven’t advanced past the NLDS since winning the World Series in 2021.
