Legendary Milwaukee Brewers broadcaster Bob Uecker kicked off his 54th season on Tuesday at the team's home opener against the Minnesota Twins.

To celebrate "Ueck," as fans call the 90-year-old, the Brewers gave Uecker a shoutout and put him on the video board during the game. The fans at American Family Field gave "Mr. Baseball" a huge standing ovation to celebrate the longevity of his career.

Tuesday marked the first game Uecker has called since the Brewers' 2023 postseason run. Uecker's broadcasting career with the Brewers began in 1971.

Despite his age, Uecker doesn't have any immediate plans to retire, although the Brewers have given him the option to broadcast fewer games. Uecker has worked just the Brewers' home games for the past few years.

Fans may not see Uecker as often this season, as Brewers president of business operations Rick Schlesinger said on social media last week that, “He’ll take it one day at a time" after Tuesday's home opener.
