The Los Angeles Angels as a group entered their first game of a new series against the Chicago White Sox with a fresh mentality. They had just got embarrassed at home as they could not forge out a single win against the Miami Marlins and Matt Moore went down with injury.

However, they know how important this week is ahead of them as they have a long road trip not only against Chicago but also a division rival in the Houston Astros. LA came out hot in the first inning as they went back to back with homers immediately and got a very early early lead.

Brandon Drury started things for the Halos as he brought Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani home with them.

Not too long after, Matt Thaiss decided to join the party with his own 414 ft bomb that put LA up 4-0. That was his third one of the year and he continues to step up huge for the clubhouse after Logan O'Hoppe went down with a shoulder injury.

He is slashing .231/.320/.392 and actually made history in the Angels' 6-4 win over the White Sox on Monday.

"Today, Matt Thaiss became the first

catcher with a home run and stolen base in a game since Kevan Smith on Sept. 7, 2019 (also at White Sox) Before Smith, it was last done Carlos Peréz on Aug. 19, 2015 (vs. White Sox at Angel Stadium)"

It seems like there is just something special about playing the White Sox as multiple feats have been accomplished whenever the Halos do so.

Game two of the series is set for today at 5:10 pm PT, we'll see everybody then!
