Los Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani is having a historic season. To be fair, that's been the moment he entered the majors, but through five starts this season, he's been a monster.

If Ohtani is on the mound, it's almost a guaranteed victory for the Halos. Fans and commentators are astonished by his historic start; the people over at Bally Sports West broke down the numbers, and you wouldn't believe it unless you saw it.

Shohei's numbers for each pitch are just ridiculous. His favorite pitch, the sweeper, batters are averaging a .063 average and has struck out 18 batters. His heater, the four-seamer, has struck out seven batters with that pitch and is only allowing a .067 average. His weakest pitch is the splitter, and still, hitters are still only hitting .200, and his curveball is lethal. He doesn't throw it as much, but hitters have yet to make contact, and has five strikeouts.

Ohtani had a slip put in his sixth outing against the Oakland A's, but his numbers remain spectacular. His ERA jumped from 0.64 to 1.85, his win-loss is 4-0, with 46 strikeouts, allowing 11 hits, seven earned runs, and two home runs.

Most of the earned runs came on Thursday, as he allowed five runs but only allowed two runs prior to that.

His previous start is an outlier; expect him to return to his five initial starts.
