Angels Highlights: Brandon Drury Two-Run Home Run Leads to Comeback Victory
The Los Angeles Angels pulled off the comeback win Sunday while hosting the San Diego Padres. The Angels were trailing the Padres 4-0 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Angels finally got going in the sixth inning, with Mike Trout hitting a huge triple. Aaron Hicks would begin the scoring for the Angels, with a two-run double that put the Angels on the board.
Brandon Drury would seal the lead and victory later in the inning with a two-run home run that put the Angels up 5-4, the final score of the game.
Another highlight of the game was Luis Rengifo hitting a double. Rengifo only returned to play earlier this week, and finally made a big play for the Halos.
Chase Silseth had a solid start as well. Silseth pitched four innings, allowing a hit, walk and earned run, but two strikeouts as well.
Overall, it was a low scoring game for both teams outside of the sixth inning. Padres' Brad Miller hit a sacrifice fly for Tyler Wade to earn the run and give the Padres an early 1-0 lead. San Diego would score three more times at the top of the sixth inning, but the Angels would top them in the second half of the inning.
