The Los Angeles Angels brought in Justin Garza back in December of 2022 and it was originally believed that he could grow to help their big league roster. He was sent to the AAA for this first stretch of the season and posted a 4.32 ERA along with a 1.20 WHIP in six games.

However, he has now been made available by LA after concerns from the front office about his command and the Boston Red Sox immediately jumped on the opportunity to bring him in.

J.P. Hoornstra was the first to report the news.

"The Red Sox claimed Justin Garza off waivers from the Angels."

Garza has already been optioned by the Red Sox to play in the minor league once again as they already have a pretty solid starting rotation and bullpen. However, roster and lineup changes are made all the time and we could very well see him suit up in the big league this season.

Despite Garza not being a member of the Halos anymore, we wish him the best of luck moving forward!
