The Los Angeles Angels aren't finishing their road trip on a positive note. The Halos are on the verge of getting swept by their rivals Houston Astros, and it hasn't been pretty for them.

Their Saturday loss was deflating to the entire team as the difference in the game was an Alex Bergman grand slam in the fifth inning which ended up being the deciding factor in the game. The Halos narrowed the lead to two runs in the seventh inning, but it wasn't enough.

This makes it four out of five losses for the Angels that moves them to .500 for the first time since late April. The loss puts them in danger of getting swept by the Astros and, at best, earning three wins on the road trip. Halos skipper Phil Nevin spoke to Angels insider Jeff Flecther after the game and expressed his frustration with their lack of success against Houston so far.

“That makes us 1-5 against this club, so obviously we’re not there yet,” Manager Phil Nevin said.

Trout also sounded off after their loss and said how they can't seem to capitalize on opportunities.

“We’ve been in a lot of ballgames,” center fielder Mike Trout said. “We had a lot of chances to win ballgames, just fell short. It’s a long season. Obviously, we’ve got to start picking it up.”

The Halos were in the game, going toe to toe with the defending champs in hits and rallying in the seventh inning, but it wasn't enough. The Halos will now go into Sunday to avoid a sweep which would be their second time getting swept this season.

You never want to get swept, especially by your division rival. Take care of business today and come back on a happy flight home.
