Albert Pujols has officially made his way to Angels spring training this week. The recently retired legend played with the Halos from 2012-2021, before finishing his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals. However, Pujols had agreed to a 10-year personal services contract with the Halos, and said earlier in the offseason he planned on honoring that commitment.

At spring training on Tuesday, he confirmed that he would be fulfilling it. And on Wednesday, he provided some detail on what it would look like. According to insider Sam Blum, his official title is "special assistant," and he'll be working with general manager Perry Minasian, the coaches, prospects and more.

Pujols will be with the club for the next 10 years, so expect to see a lot more of him at camp and other events.

While his tenure with the Halos didn't exactly end on a positive note, it was all love between the two sides, and it's nice to see them picking up on a nice note again this year.

Mike Trout was among the Angels very pleased to have Pujols back with the club.

"It’s pretty cool. Obviously having his presence in this locker room for the younger guys and the guys that’ve been up here. Any questions you have, just ask him. He’s been through it all."

Pujols has established himself as one of the greatest major leaguers of all time, and it's nice to know that he'll be bringing his experience and knowledge to the Angels for the next decade or so. He's sure to be a big help all around, but especially on the younger players.
