Another day, another injury for the Halos in 2023.

Angels insider Sam Blum reported that righty pitcher Austin Warren will require Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Warren becomes the second player in the Halos organization in two days to require Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old was placed on the 15-day IL with elbow problems last week, and the worst came true for Austin on Friday.

Warren last pitched for the Halos on April 22 against the Kansas City Royals. He has only pitched in the 2023 season, and he went 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA, two strikeouts, and a 1.20 WHIP in 1.2 innings and two games.

The timeline for Austin's return has not been determined, but if all goes well, we could see him back midway through 2024.

We wish Austin the best and a speedy recovery.
