Angels News: Anthony Rendon Provides Update on Groin Injury
Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon provided an update on his groin injury Thursday.
Rendon said that he is feeling better after initially injuring his groin on Sunday, and might do some live at-bats on Thursday. He expects to return to play "soon."
“It was more just soreness. We were just trying to prevent anything bigger, especially so early in camp.”

Rendon has been out of the lineup since his injury, which has forced him to miss Spring Training games against the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics and now Seattle Mariners.
The good news is Rendon is not seriously hurt and should be returning soon. However, this likely will only bring more scrutiny to Rendon. Not only is Rendon often injured, but his commitment to the sport has been questioned after he previously made comments earlier this year that baseball is not a "top priority" for him.
Given the amount of money the team has invested in the talented 33-year-old, fans want to see the former All-Star contribute to the team and help the Angels have a shot in 2024. If Rendon can stay healthy, it will significantly help.
