Anthony Rendon made it very clear that he did not agree with the MLB's five-game suspension for him following a violent interaction with an Oakland Athletics fan. Their committee came to this decision following a lengthy investigation.

However, Rendon opted to appeal this suspension on Monday and he won immediately after... to a certain degree.

Instead of five games, the suspension has now been shrunk down to just four games. Progress is progress.

The news was first shared by Alden Gonzalez.

"Sources: Anthony Rendon's suspension will now be reduced to four games as part of a negotiated settlement between MLB and the MLBPA. His suspension will begin today."

The suspension will be effective immediately and Rendon will be taken out of the lineup for the Angels' Monday game against the Seattle Mariners.

Here is the video of the interaction between Rendon and the Oakland fan that started everything.

Even though the MLB has come to their decision, Rendon could still be facing more consequences with the law. It has been reported that, despite the fan not coming forward to comment just yet, the Oakland Police Department has not wrapped up their own investigation just yet.

Stay tuned for the OPD's final word on Rendon and then we can, hopefully, put this situation to rest and everybody can move on.
