Arte Moreno, owner of the Los Angeles Angels, has returned to the limelight and proceeded to address the media just like in year's past. Being one of the more notorious names in the MLB world to not hold his tongue, he continued this trend in his Saturday conversations with reporters and answered some burning questions that we've had for a while.

There is no doubt that the Angels are home to two of the best players in the league with Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout. However, they just haven't been able to figure it out. Despite some early success in 2022, they still finished with a losing record and extended their playoff drought to eight seasons.

It's truly been a rollercoaster ride for Angels fans recently and that is why many were quite upset when Moreno pulled back from initial plans to sell the franchise. This is one of the many topics he touched on in his interview with Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.

"The reality is any time you sell or do something, it can potentially change the fan experience," said Moreno. "One of the things we've tried to do is keep everything affordable. From the day I walked in, affordable tickets, affordable concessions. Affordable souvenirs."

When it comes to the cost to actually get into an Angels game, the 76-year-old businessman is not telling a single lie. Heading into the 2023 season, LA ranks among the most affordable teams to watch as the average ticket price for them sits at about only $7. Compared to their city-rival Dodgers whose average cost $54 a pop, that is a big difference.

Moreno would then go on to compare his team's affordability versus other franchises.

"You can walk around other parks and look at the prices, and look at our prices," said Moreno. "The press doesn't like to talk about it but we have a really affordable fan experience. Sometimes people want something and they really don't know. I really want that car and then they have to make payments."

It is great to see that he is ensuring the fans have the means to make it to multiple games a year if they choose and not hurt their pockets too much in the process. However, the next step to win even more fans is to turn more of those games into victories.
