Angels News: Big Roster Transactions Ahead of Milwaukee-Filled Weekend
The injury bug comes and goes in waves for every team in the MLB and the Angels have learned that in the hardest of ways this season already. Everybody loved the energy and poise in which rookie Logan O'Hoppe brought to the squad immediately and once the torn labrum news hit about a week ago, fans were in shambles.
The seasons must go on nonetheless and that is why LA prioritizes so much into their minor leagues and prospects. LHP Jose Quijada woke up and randomly found out that his left elbow had swelled up. Chris Devenski has been called up in his place.

In 10 games with the Halos thus far this season, Quijada has posted a 6.00 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He has also struck eight batters and allowed no home runs.
Devenski has also been pretty solid this year in the minor league with seven games on his record and a 4.00 ERA. He has also been able to strike out nine batters.
And speaking of O'Hoppe early, he has also been officially placed on the 6-day IL following a successful surgery.

We hope all of our guys recover smoothly and we cannot wait to see how Devenski fares in the big league again.
