It is well-known that there are few athletes in the world that have built together a fanbase like Shohei Ohtani. Whenever he hits the field, he draws the eyes of millions of people worldwide.

When the championship game for 2023's World Baseball Classic went down, it was 8 am in Japan. That did not stop about 42% of households there from watching Ohtani represent their country and bring home the gold. They know that he is one of their biggest success stories ever and he is dominating the game of baseball right now in a way that few have in the past.

His 2023 campaign has been nothing short of amazing so far and as he tries to lead the Angels to their first playoff appearance with him on the roster, he's doing so in impressive fashion. Ohtani is currently slashing .288/.383/.500 and he's already connected on 15 hits and three home runs in 16 outings for the Halos.

One would think that opposing fans would hate seeing Ohtani on the opposite side whenever he faces them due to his dominance on the plate and at the pitching mound. However, it seems to be quite the opposite,

They cannot get enough of the 28-year-old superstar no matter where he is playing. LA recently faced off against the Boston Red Sox and he had a massive crows waiting just to see him.

See for yourself.

We are all witnesses in this Shohei Ohtani era and we can only hope the Angels organization makes the right decisions moving forward and we are able to hold onto him.
