Angels News: Fans React to Controversial Tweet Shared by Bally Sports Amidst Wednesday Game
The Los Angeles Angels got off to quite the start in their Wednesday outing against the Chicago White Sox. They entered the ninth inning up 10-2 and a lot of it was thanks to none other than Shohei Ohtani.
The 28-year-old superstar connected on home runs in the third and fourth inning and all looked well for the Halos who just lost the night before to the same Chicago squad. However, Bally Sports West who covers every Angels game hopped on Twitter and shared a very controversial tweet involving Shohei Ohtani and a young child in the stands.
Have a look for yourself.
"Shohei what are you doing in the stands? You've got a game to play"
Other Twitter users immediately hopped in the replies and began ripping the video and caption apart.
Bally's company is already under a lot of heat due to the recent news that broke about them not complying to pay their deadline fee and continue streaming games for the San Diego Padres.
This was the official statement from Alden Gonzalez.
"Diamond Sports Group had until the end of today to pay the Padres their scheduled rights fee and has decided not to do so. Tonight will mark the final Padres game that airs on Bally Sports. Moving forward, MLB is expected to take control of broadcasts. "
Nonetheless, everybody is entitled to their own opinion and these fans are obviously not happy with the decision-making here.
