Remember just a few games ago when Griffin Canning suited up for the Los Angeles Angels for the first time in two years and looked amazing. Well, it was not just a one-hit wonder as he shined once again on Wednesday.

Even though the Halos took a 2-3 loss to the New York Yankees and Phil Nevin got thrown out in the process, Canning did the job that needed to be done on his end. He took the pitching mound for five innings and only allowed four hits with two runs while also striking out four runners.

Canning reflected on his second outing of the season and really likes what he's been able to do thus far.

“I felt like I kept building off each inning,” Canning said Canning. “I honestly felt like I started to pick up another gear there, other than one pitch. I felt like I kind of found my slider later in the game. Definitely a lot of positives to take.”

It would've been another great win under Canning's belt but LA's offense wasn't present for most of the game and they ended up losing by just one run.

But this is still amazing to see and we hope that the next time that he takes the mound for the Halos, he continues this level of play and sees a different outcome.
