Former Angels 2017 draft pick RHP Sam Fuller has decided to retire from the MLB, per the Angels' transaction log.

Fuller was a 14th-round draft pick in 2017, and played for the Arizona Complex League Angels that year.

Then, injuries ravaged his career.

Fuller was placed on the 60-day injured list in June of 2018, and was activated in September of 2018. Then, he was placed on it again in June of 2019, before being activated again in September.

In 2021, it was the same story. In July, he landed on the 60-day IL, and in October he was activated.

Finally, he decided enough was enough, and retired from the MLB on February 1 of this year.

Fuller retires at the age of 24, having never made it above the Arizona League. It's unfortunate for him that it never worked out, but we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
