Your Los Angeles Angels are finally playing, and winning, some home games in 2023 so you know that meant a brand-new home run hat had to be introduced to the squad.

Fans from last season will probably remember that whenever one of their players sent a ball deep into the stands or out of the park, they were greeted with a cowboy hat at home plate. That hat held a lot of history within the franchise as Tim Salmon, former Angels outfielder, used to always have a cowboy hat with him during their 2002 World Series path that former team owner Gene Autry gave to him.

However, it's 2023 now and it looks like Shohei Ohtani was the man they wanted to highlight with their new home run accessory. He helped the team during the process of choosing exactly which hat to ride with and this one highlights Ohtani's history.

It is a Japanese Samurai helmet and much more noticeable than the cowboy hat from last season. Take a look for yourself as Mike Trout was the first one to get the pleasure of dawning it.

Fans took to Twitter with some hilarious reactions.
