The Ron Washington coaching staff is coming together for the Los Angeles Angels.

After announcing ErickYoung Jr. as the new third base coach of the Angels, it seems they have found their guy to lead the pitching staff this season in Barry Enright, confirmed by Sam Blum of The Athletic.

Enright is a former MLB pitcher who was drafted by the Diamondbacks in 2007. After pitching with the D-backs in 2010-2011, he was traded to the Angels in 2012 and spent the next two years pitching for the Angels as a reliever.

Enright would go on to play in a few different MLB organizations in his career but unfortunately never pitched in an MLB game again.

Following his playing career, Enright went into the coaching route of professional baseball and became an assistant pitching coach with the Diamondbacks in 2021.

During his time in Arizona, Enright sat under Arizona pitching coach Brent Storm.

Last year, the Diamondbacks were in the World Series for the first time since 2001 and lost five games to one against the Texas Rangers.

In the Regular season, Arizona had a team ERA of 4.48 with a record of 84-78, finishing second in the NL West.

Last year, the D-backs were one of the biggest surprise stories in all of baseball as they were just 100 game losers in 2021.

As of now, Enright will inherit a pitching staff that features Patrick Sandoval, Reid Detmers, Griffin Canning, Tyler Anderson, and All-Star closer Carlos Esteve

The Angels are expected to be aggressive this offseason and could look to bolster this pitching staff if they are unable to resign Shohei Ohtani this offseason.
