Angels News: Infielder Gio Urshela Hits IL with Pelvis Fracture
The Los Angeles Angels are coming off of yet another great series win against the number-one AL West squad in the Texas Rangers as they only lost one out of their four games. Shohei Ohtani, Mickey Moniak, and the rest of the squad have been able to dominate as they are in the midst of their best stretch of the season.
However, the injury bug looks like it's hit them at the worst possible time as Zach Neto went down with an oblique strain after an odd throw, Anthony Rendon had to play through some serious wrist pain on Thursday, and now Gio Urshela will be heading to the IL with a pelvis fracture.
The Athletic's Sam Blum was the first to report the news!
"The Angels called up Michael Stefanic and announce that Gio Urshela has a pelvis fracture. Stefanic had an .895 OPS at Triple A."

The injury occurred when he took an overextended step against the Texas Rangers in the first inning as he was trying to make it to first base and showed some clear discomfort.
In 62 games with the Halos this year, Urshela is batting .299/.329/.374 and has connected on two homers. LA opted to call up Michael Stefanic after finding out this news.
