Angels News: Injured Jo Adell Teases Upcoming Return on Social Media

Sidelined for months due to his current ailment, one Angel may finally be on the mend and ready to come back to game action with weeks left in the regular season. 

Sharing an encouraging update on his social media, Halos outfielder Jo Adell may be set to return sooner than many speculated in what is nothing short of a positive update from him. 

Conducting a Q&A with his followers on Twitter, Adell looks to be in good spirits despite another season that's been hampered by injury. 

Stints between both MLB and the Triple-A team for Adell came short of any progress due to an oblique issue that's kept him off both rosters since July. 

The formerly highly-touted prospect hasn't had the easiest time in the pros to this point in his career as injuries and ineffective play have sapped the excitement of his arrival since being drafted in 2017. 

As the 10th overall pick, Adell got a lot of hype from many scouts and the organization but his failure to stick at the major league level paired with injuries have made his progress a damper for both player and team.

Still, it'd be a great sign to see Adell back at the plate and manning the outfield at the Big A with just weeks remaining to see what the Angels truly have in their former top prospect. 

With the team out of contention, Adell's call up back from Triple-A would be a good assessment of his talent and possibly his future with the club. 

Many around the Angels organization have already cut their losses on the 2023 season, but for players like Adell, this is a good opportunity to get some experience to possibly factor into Anaheim's plans headed into 2024. 

In what could be a transitional year for the franchise, next season will be a pivotal one no matter who's on the roster for Anaheim.
