Angels News: Jo Adell Kicks Off AAA Season with Big Accolade
Jo Adell has been within the Los Angeles Angels' system since 2022 and the organization has never really know what to make of him nor where to have him play. It seems as though whenever he plays in the minor leagues, he id dominate off of the jump and proves that he needs to be called up.
Adell has logged nine games with the Salt Lakes Bees and is currently slashing .353/.476/1.08. He has already connected on seven home runs and twelve total hits and is looking like a superstar for them out there.
However, it's not just Angels fans that have been paying attention to Adell enjoying the fruits of his labor. The baseball world have been taking notes as he appears to be much more productive than usual.
In the AAA's first minor-league awards of the year, Adell was named Player of the Week.
His 2022 stint with the Angels on their big league roster was not too pretty despite him getting a lot of opportunities. This continued during the most recent Spring Training and even though he struck out a lot, the coaching staff wants him to keep playing through his struggles.
They do believe that he was drafted at number ten for a reason and are not willing to just give up on him. He's already breaking AAA records right now as he was able to connect a home for six straight games so it looks like he's finding his rhythm again.
Obviously, he's accomplished feats like this before and then fell off in the weeks following so it will be a matter of bringing this poise and to every game and being ready when he gets called up again.
