Through 16 games, your Los Angeles Angels are .500 at 8-8. The Halos had a solid start through the first week of the season; they were 5-3 through eight games and were in the top 10 in Bleacher Reports power rankings.

However, two weeks later and the Halos dropped little by little. Last week the Angels dropped to number 14, and they landed in the bottom half of the rankings this week.

MLB columnist for Bleacher Report Joel Reuter placed the LA Angels at 19.

19. Los Angeles Angels (8-8) Previous Rank: 14

The Angels made a big move Saturday, promoting 2022 first-round pick Zach Neto to take over as the team's starting shortstop after he hit .444/.559/.815 in 34 plate appearances at Double-A. Despite their record, they had a plus-11 run differential that ranked fifth among American League teams entering Monday.

The Angels could only pick up two wins against the dreadful Washington Nationals last week. LA could only pick up one of the four games against AL East opponent Boston Red Sox, which came on Monday morning.

Phil Nevin's team will look to snag more wins as they face the mighty New York Yankees on the road and return to Orange County and AL Central opponent Kansas City Royals to start a seven-game home stand.
