The Angels have a tough choice to make when it comes to its star third basemen's injury comeback.

Anthony Rendon is set to come back from a wrist injury that put him on the 10-day IL soon.

On Wednesday it was reported that Rendon began his journey back to the Angels by taking batting practice in the cages at Angel Stadium.

It is now unclear whether or not Rendon will need a rehab assignment or could take live batting practice and make his return.

Rendon was placed on the injured list on June 19 with a wrist contusion after being hit by a pitch in Texas.

This is the second time that Rendon has missed time this season as he already hit the 10-day IL for a groin strain in May. That injury kept him out for two weeks.

This is not the first time Rendon has had an injury riddled season with the Halos. After signing a seven-year/$245 million deal with the Angels in 2019, Rendon has been on the IL seven times.

Wrist injuries aren't new for Rendon. Last season, he missed the majority of the season after receiving wrist surgery.

The Angels are hoping that the worst of the injury bug is behind Rendon and that he returns his All-Star self that won a World Series in 2019.
