At least someone's happy.

Arte Moreno's decision to remain in charge of the Angels didn't make a lot of people happy — especially those who call themselves fans of the team. However, the people around the team — whether they're being honest or not — have spoken very highly of Moreno, approving of his decision to stay in charge.

One of those people is Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout, who has a great relationship with Moreno — one that led him to sign the richest contract in professional sports history at the time. At spring training, Trout was asked about his owner deciding to remain in charge of the team.

"It’s good to have Arte back," Trout said. "I know he was committed this offseason to making the team and the roster better. And he’s definitely done that."

The Angels have definitely had a good offseason, which is one of the reasons Trout thinks Moreno decided to remain in charge.

"When the word first came out that he was selling the team, it was kind of a shock to me," Trout said. "But once I saw [general manager] Perry [Minasian] making moves and trying to make the team better, which he did, I kind of got a little sense that he wasn’t going to sell the team."

Well Trout was definitely right about that. Moreno decided to not sell the team, and it sounds like he plans on being here for at least a few more years. While Angel fans may not be happy, unfortunately, their opinion doesn't matter very much. And in terms of opinions that do matter, Trout's has to be pretty high on that list.
