The Los Angeles Angels aren't known for their ability to draft young prospects. Going into this season, they were ranked 28 out of 30 teams in the farm system rankings. That's not where you want to be as an organization, but the young Halo prospects that have played have proven themselves when given the opportunity.

The Angels have multiple prospects in their farm system, and many of them may never be part of the major leagues for the Angels. They may get traded, or unfortunately, baseball doesn't work out for them at this level. However, that may be different with one of the Halos' top prospects, who is just a teenager.

MLB expert for Bleacher Report Joel Reuter made a list of each team's best teenage prospect and listed RHP Caden Dana as the best for the Angels.

Los Angeles Angels: RHP Caden Dana (Age: 19) Teenage position players Denzer Guzman ($2 million), Nelson Rada ($1.85 million) and Adrian Placencia ($1.1 million) all landed seven-figure bonuses on the international market, but it's Dana who stands as the Angels' best teenage prospect. The 6'4" right-hander landed a $1.5 million bonus as an 11th-round pick last year, and he has a 3.94 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 29.2 innings between Single-A and High-A to open the 2023 season.

Dana is currently with the Angels High-A affiliate Tri-City Dust Devils. He was the 11th-round pick for the Halos in last year's draft and has only pitched in 10 games. Caden has gone 1-2 in his minor league career with a 4.50 ERA, 44 strikeouts, and a 1.13 WHIP in 38 innings.

The 19-year-old was born in New York and went to high school in New Jersey. If he pans out to what Reuter thinks of him, he could be used in a big way for the Halos. According to MLB.com, he received comparisons to former Angel Noah Syndergaard because of his frame and hairstyle. Dana also has a good fastball and a solid breaking ball in his arsenal.

The youngster is estimated to reach the big leagues in 2026 and is listed as the 11th-best team prospect this season.
