Hmmm... maybe there is something fishy going on with the vote counting for the upcoming 2023 All-Star game because the first round of leaders have been revealed to the public and somehow, some way Shohei Ohtani is not thousands of votes ahead of everybody else!

All jokes aside, Ronald Acuna Jr., who is ahead of Ohtani in the polls right now, is an incredible talent and rightfully deserves the love he is garnering. The fact that we even get to see so many of the MLB's top players come together and team up is a treat in itself.

However, MLB's Kerry Miller was very surprised to not see Ohtani at the top of the list and shared multiple reasons as to why... some many will agree with.

"It's weird that Ohtani isn't leading all players in total votes, currently over 162,000 votes behind Ronald Acuña Jr. for that crown. Not only do we talk about Ohtani seemingly every hour of every day, but you would think he would be especially dominating the international vote."

Nonetheless, The Unicorn is undoubtedly the most popular international player in possibly all of American sports right now. All that he is missing right now is some playoff success and hardware but once he captures that, his impact will be massive.

We just saw Nikola Jokic bring the Denver Nuggets their first championship in franchise history and has strengthened his argument to be the best international NBA player when his career is all said and done.

Acuna technically has a World Series to his name even though he was injured when the Atlanta Braves won back in 2021 and has suited up in 25 playoff games in his career compared to Ohtani's zero.

But like I said, these are two of the best players on Earth and Ohtani will get his chance at his own hardware as well.
