He used his sickness earlier in the week as an excuse for low velocity.

Anybody that tuned into the Los Angeles Angels vs Minnesota Twins game on Saturday could clearly see that Patrick Sandoval wasn't throwing like his usual self. The poise was not there and his fastballs were not moving straight down the line like usual.

The 26-year-old LHP lasted barely over four innings and left reliever Zack Weiss with two runners on base. He also gave up five hits and three runs early in the game as the Twins would go on to get a relatively easy 6-2 win. However, Sandoval was also very quick to blame his poor pitching on a sickness he had reportedly been dealing with for some time.

"Patrick Sandoval was sick earlier this week so that’s why his velocity was down. He doesn’t think it’ll be an issue going forward."

Shohei Ohtani's Greatness On Display Once Again

Our very own Shohei Ohtani will take the mound on Sunday as the Halos look to get back on track and take this series against Minnesota. The Unicorn will enter this game with a 3.21 ERA and 5-1 record when starting at the mound.

Oh yeah and the night right before this, he also just clocked his 11th home run of the season. Have a look for yourself.

This guy continues to show the baseball world why he is one of one... he was so close to a cycle not too long ago on the same night that he was pitching. Appreciate greatness while we have it folks.

Not The Best Night, But He Is Back

This one has been a long time coming, welcome back Jared Walsh! He did not garner any hits in his four at-bats but he did get a sacrifice groundout in the fourth inning that allowed Hunter Renfroe to score LA's only other run of the game.

We are well-aware of the troubles that Walsh went through the past few months so just seeing him dominate in a short minor league stint and now be back with the official team was a beautiful sight!

Back at it again tomorrow at 1:07 pm PT... let's make it a better one!
