The baseball gods must be unhappy with something the Angels did because injury has really been added to insult often this season. With that in mind, Halos' rookie infielder Kyren Paris was a late scratch on Sunday with what was later explained as thumb soreness during the game.
Following a 5-3 loss to the Tigers, manager Phil Nevin provided an update on the situation.
Paris hurt his thumb on a tag play during yesterday's game, Phil Nevin said. Paris tried to get through it today and taped his own thumb, but eventually realized he couldn't play today. He will get testing done tomorrow to see what all is wrong. https://t.co/5KblhpoFlG

With the luck the Angels have had this year, it's worth crossing your fingers for any sort of not terrible update tomorrow. The team has a travel day on Monday, flying across the country for a three game set with the Rays in Tampa. With seemingly half the roster currently on the injured list, the Angels can also hardly be without the services of Paris.
The rookie infielder has gone just 4-40 (.100) in his first 40 big league games.
