It's been great to see the Los Angeles Angels clicking on all cylinders for the most part over the past two weeks and still come out with a big amount of victories despite some key injuries. Zach Neto, Gio Urshela, and Anthony Rendon have all been victims in this case but LA has just looked to the rest of their guys to step up.

The Angels were in a similar position when they faced off against the Texas Rangers earlier this year and also in the two series in which they played the Houston Astros. both of these clubhouses sit in front of the Halos in the AL West standings and the results were only losses. LA had great momentum coming into these matches but fell apart.

This certainly was not the case these past four games where the Halos only dropped one and won the rest in dominant fashion. They were not about to let their home crowd and were able to perform when one of their biggest challenges rolled around. Shohei Ohtani played like an MVP all series long, the bullpen stayed composed in late innings, and team manager Phil Nevin made excellent adjustments when the injury bug hit.

The 28-year-old superstar had an amazing performance highlight by both pitching and slugging in their final Thursday win and he loves how the team is feeling right now.

“Obviously, this is a huge series win against a first-place team,” Ohtani said. “All the boys are fired up because we came out on top. So we hope the momentum will continue into the next series.”

However, the theme within the squad right now is to not get caught up in the moment and the Halos have a brand-new series against the Kansas City Royals up next. We'll see you guys at 5:10 pm PT.
