Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani has exited Thursday's second game of the doubleheader with an apparent injury.

Ohtani reached for his lower back/side area after hitting his second home run of the game, and ultimately was forced to exit.

Ohtani was in the midst of one of the greatest days in MLB history.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Ohtani was on the mound, and threw a 111-pitch complete game shutout, the first of his career.

Then, in the second game, he hit two home runs in the first four innings, but was removed due to a potential injury.

For what it's worth, the Angels lead 8-2 in the sixth inning, so this could just be precautionary since the team is already well on their way to sweeping the doubleheader.

However, it was very apparent that he grabbed his back/side in pain, so let's hope it's not a serious issue and he's able to be back out there as soon as possible.

The Angels are very much all in on this season with Ohtani. The only thing they cannot afford is him missing time.

UPDATE:

The Angels say Ohtani was removed from the game due to cramping.
