A bit of confusion and panic out of Toronto from the visiting Angels who have lost superstar DH Shohei Ohtani in the middle of a game for the second day in a row.

Michael Stefanic came up to pinch hit for Ohtani with the bases loaded in the 9th inning and struck out.

Notably, Ohtani left after two at-bats in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday in Detroit after dealing with cramps in his left back/oblique. Angels manager Phil Nevin didn't seem concerned about Shohei before Friday night's game and he seemed right for most of the game.

Ohtani had two hits in four at-bats with his MLB-best 39th home run earlier in the game before his exit.

The Angels fell 4-1 to the Blue Jays in the first game of the three game series in Toronto.

UPDATE

Sarah Valenzuela of the LA Times reported that Shohei felt cramps in his legs/calves. Nevin said it shouldn't be an injured list situation for the DH.
