Sorry Angels fans, but Shohei Ohtani gets to wear another jersey other than the red Anaheim kit as he prepares to play in his third All-Star game on Tuesday night.

Leading the majors in home runs halfway through the season and holding a record-breaking 15 homers in the month of June alone, the All-Star selection comes with no surprise.

And it just makes you wonder how far Ohtani is trying to go in terms of breaking records and gathering accolades.

On Tuesday, the Angels two-way superstar walked across the All-Star Red Carpet where he was bombarded with questions from MLB Network analysts, Greg Amsinger and Harold Reynolds.

The two asked a lot of questions about Shohei's efforts that ended the first half of the season, and wonder if the AL Home Run record is in his sights.

Ohtani laughed and needed no interpretation to understand the question.

“Of course I would like to break the record. But before all that, I need to stay healthy, end the year healthy," Ohtani said through his interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara." That’s the focus right now."

Amsinger and Reynolds also asked him if playing in this year's World Baseball Classic has helped him kickstart this record-breaking year.

"[Ohtani] knows in the past that players that play in the WBC tend to have a slow start [to the season]," Mizuhara explained from Ohtani's words. "He had that in mind so he didn't want that to happen to him...but playing in the high-intensity games early in the year kind of helped him excel."

We cannot wait to see how Shohei Ohtani continues to shine for the second half of the season, but for now, we enjoy him in Tuesday night's midsummer classic.
