The bad news keeps coming for the Angels who on Monday night at Angel Stadium in Anaheim lost starting pitcher Patrick Sandoval to an apparent injury.

Angels insider Sam Blum shared a look at the incident which occurred in the top of the 4th inning.

Veteran third base Mike Moustakas notified the dugout right away as Sandoval walked gingerly after missing up and away with a 94 mph fastball. The left-hander had walked the first two batters in the 4th and exited having thrown just 65 pitches in the game.

He was replaced by Jose Suarez who evaded the traffic and kept the Rangers at bay in the inning.

UPDATE

The Angels shared an update on Sandoval who exited the game with right oblique tightness. His season is likely done.
