Thirteen games into the 2023 season, and the Angels have already made a major move within their roster. LA called up their number two overall prospect, Zach Neto, and optioned six-year veteran David Fletcher in the process. The 2022 draft pick will start today at shortstop, and Zach and his family couldn't believe the news.

Angels insider Sam Blum spoke to the 22-year-old, and words can't explain how excited he and his family are for the opportunity.

Neto expected to grace a big-league field eventually, but not this soon. His family couldn't even believe the news, but 14 games into the season; Zach will get to showcase his talent for probably the rest of the season.

The Angels 2022 first-round pick was killing it in the minors; in 10 games, he was batting .444 with a .559 OBP and a 1.374 OPS, along with three homers, 10 RBIs, and ten runs in 27 ABs.

The time has come for Neto. Ready or not, here he comes, Angel fans.
